June, 2021.- Ceramics are part of the folklore, traditions and popular culture of communities or regions. It is generally passed down from generation to generation. It is developed by men and women who carry out their work by hand or with different devices. The Cuban aborigines were able to create beautiful and consistent pottery.
In the city of Camagüey, there is a broad movement of potters, many of them are part of the Cuban Association of Artisan Artists. The English creator and professor Bernard Leach, (1887-1979), who is considered the “Father of British study ceramics” meant: Beauty comes from the heart and spills through the potter’s fingers.
