May, 2020.- Technical rigor, the profession of painter and training in the most rigorous academies are present in the Virtual War on Fascism Exhibition that the Camaguey artist of plastic René Santiago de la Torre Aguilar gives to the world on the occasion of the anniversary 75 of the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany, on May 9, 1945 in World War II, or Great Patriotic War.
It is a retrospective of the most representative of his pictorial creation in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2020s; works in which they use the most dissimilar supports to express their feelings: pens, oil, inks, digital art, colography and mixed media with cardboard and fabric, among others.
Fascism is a subject that the author frequently resorts to and that this time reveals in 25 works in which, according to Professor Eduardo Morales Nieves, from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, the author dramatizes “with reiteration.
