Camagüey, Cuba, 16 oct.- Las máximas autoridades del Partido Comunista de Cuba (PCC) y la Asamblea Provincial Popular en Camagüey, reconocieron el desempeño de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC) y la Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS) , en el contexto de las actividades por el Día de la Cultura Cubana, que se festejada cada 20 de octubre.

En el encuentro asistieron los diez delegados e invitados agramontinos al Tercer Congreso de de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS), que desde este martes sesiona en La Habana, bajo las máximas de José Martí de “Crear es pelear, crear es vencer”, y de Luis Saíz Montes de Oca “No tenemos más que nuestra vida y una obra inmensa que realizar”.

En el intercambio Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, miembro del Comité Central del Partido y primer secretario de la organización en el territorio agramontino resaltó el potencial cultural de la provincia de Camagüey y el protagonismo en el quehacer socio-político de la región por parte de la vanguardia artística integrada a la UNEAC y a la AHS.

Fonseca aseguró que las direcciones del Partido y el Gobierno en Camagüey se sienten orgullosos del talento de los creadores y trabajadores del sistema de la cultura en la provincia, territorio que distingue por su desarrollo artístico.

En tanto Isabel González Cárdenas, presidenta del máximo órgano del gobierno en la provincia significó el papel de la cultural en el proceso histórico de la nación y en especial en la tierra de El Mayor Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz, donde nacieron además, entre otras figuras de las letras, el Poeta Nacional, Nicolás Guillen y Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, una de las precursoras de la novela en Hispanoamérica, en el siglo XIX.

Sergio Morales Vera, presidente de la filial camagüeyana de la UNEAC  reconoció el apoyo que recibe la organización de las autoridades políticas y administrativa del territorio.

Los creadores camagüeyanos manifestaron el compromiso de continuar fortaleciendo la identidad nacional y preservar la Cultura, a la cual el Comandante en Jefe consideró espada y escudo de la nación.

Party and government authorities highlight Camagüey Artistic Vanguard Performance

Camagüey, Cuba, Oct 16.- The highest authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Provincial Popular Assembly in Camagüey, recognized the performance of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the Association Hermanos Saiz (AHS), in the context of the Activities for the Cuban Culture Day, which is celebrated every October 20th.

The meeting was attended by the ten Camagüey´s delegates and guests to the Third Congress of the Association Hermanos Saiz (AHS), that since this Tuesday it meets in Havana, under the maxims of Jose Martí of «To create is to fight, to create is to overcome», and of Luis Saiz Montes de Oca » We do not have more than our life and an immense work to do. »

In the exchange Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, member of the Central Committee of the Party and First Secretary of the organization in the territory of Camagüey highlighted the cultural potential of the province of Camagüey and the prominence in the socio-political work of the region on the part of the artistic avant-garde integrated to the UNEAC and the AHS.

Fonseca said that the leadership of the Party and Government in Camagüey is proud of the talent of the creators and workers of the culture system in the province, a territory that distinguishes for its artistic development.

As Isabel González Cárdenas, president of the highest body of government in the province, highlighted the role of cultural in the historical process of the nation and especially in the land of the Major Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz, where they were also born, among other figures of the lyrics, the National Poet, Nicolás Guillen and Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, one of the forerunners of the novel in Latin America, in the 19th century.

Sergio Morales Vera, President of the Camagüey´s subsidiary of the UNEAC, recognized the support received by the organization of the political and administrative authorities of the territory.
